Where did you and your car go today

I must say that I DO ENJOY driving my car.
Today we drove R/T style as intended.

Went to the hardware store and the park. Just cruising around on a beautiful winter's day.

Nice pictures!! You really enjoy driving your car and it shows. It really is a bitchin ride!!! I'm glad everyone involved in that accident will be alright. Thanks for sharing!! Be safe!

He drives his charger more in one weekend than I drive my five cars all freaking year...

I went and busted the A body out of the storage shed and went to Walgreens and swung by Oriellys to pick some new collector gaskets for it. Then later took it out to pick up some food.

Drove through Valley Park. The railroad came to Valley Park in the 1850s . Valley Park is on the original Pacific Railroad route. Most of it closed many years ago. Built in the early 1880’s, the Frisco Inn was built by the St. Louis & San Francisco Railroad for the crews who were pushing the railroad from Pacific, MO to St. Louis. After the railroad was completed, the Frisco Railroad used the hotel as a layover for train crews, today it's a shop.

The park by the river is nice and full of deer and people swim in the creek that runs into the river.

Nice view!! Thanks for sharing!

Weather had us two days late, but I took the Wife for our 38th Anniversary cruise. We dated in this car and drove it to the Chapel in '82 to get hitched. The car must have Karma and why the youngest wanted to be driven to the alter in it last September as well, sure hope it works for them! Put almost 100 miles on Therapy today... no hot wheels at all this time, brakes are good. Rear end groaning about turns after 3 hours of cruising, so pulled into our plant parking lot so I could go around in circles with everyone on holidays. Always something.. Wife is always so happy when I let her outside the gate and our Daughter left her some flowers at her house to pick up for our Anniversary! Probably just bait for me to scrub her pool.. LOL

Went to cruise night. Two of my grand kids went with. I love the fact the are both so excited about going in the old car. My grandson asks great questions about the cars, my little princess rides on my shoulders and steers me to the pretty colors.

This thread is dedicated to everyone, to get out, if only for a moment. It gives everyone a chance to see, not only everyone's cars, but the the people, scenery and things that we all enjoy and do. We can all complain about the government where we live, the things we hate about it , but, the look over the hoods and all the beautiful scenery that all of us have in someway shape or form and the people that we share it with, is priceless. As always, thanks for sharing, be safe and Let The Horses Run!!!

Took it to work since we have a cool spell where the high temps only get to 107 degrees lol.

Went out again today for a ride with no place in mind to end up, just drive! Went to a town by me called Kirkwood, brief history. In 1851, land where the current station is located was obtained from Owen Collins by the Pacific Railroad for a right of way. The track for the Pacific Railroad to Kirkwood was completed in 1853. The first train arrived May 11, 1853, for an auction sale of lots, making Kirkwood the first planned suburb west of the Mississippi. The town was named for the chief engineer for the railroad, James P Kirkwood. In 1863, a frame depot was built, as it stands today.

View attachment 985128 Drove mine just because
That's the funnest reason!
Today all I did was test the tune on it about 5-6 times around the neighborhood.
BUT:
Friday we went and saw Daytona Jim!
What a great all-around nice guy he is too.
I had a very pleasant and laid back couple of hours visit with him.
Heard some stories, saw some cars- a good time!

He has a sweet project cooking that this HEMI will be powering!

Belated birthday dinner. Selected by my wife and funded by @Mike67 !
She wanted to get the GTX out; I've left it sit for a while now, obvious reasons...
She also selected dinner, which consisted of what turned out to be some forgetful chicken.
Didn't matter. Great company, enjoyed heck out of it. :)

Rain stopped early enough and dried out enough to go visit my 81 year old mother across town.

Been itchin' to drive it.

no pics, though :(

Wife learned that her eldest Aunt on her Dad's side passed away this morning at 96, oldest of her 13 Dutch siblings and now only 10 are still living! F-in-law is the youngest of the batch and he turns 80 this December. After making contact with her cousins and getting her Father some mailing addresses I asked her what she wanted to do and she said "lets go for a drive". SO we did ! 3.5 hours of mainly highway, 126 miles on the Bee today. Killed a few bugs! Took all wheel, axle housing and pumpkin temperature readings, as well as rad hoses, when I parked the car and they're actually lower than the Birds from it's drive last week. Both front wheel hubs are now running at 90F, rears at 104 and the pumpkin at 165F. Still making groaning noises when turning after a couple of hours of driving. Guess I'll try siphoning the fluid out and a refill with some Furd limited slip additive and fresh 80W90 and see if it helps. Sure don't wanna dig into that 55 year old '66 741.. LOL
