Where did you and your car go today

I'll put up more pics tomorrow .....from today - went out for a large gathering to welcome the 'new' 1930 Chrysler 70 Phaeton at Lloyd's place.

The usual shenanigans ensued ....rounding out the day was a well packed firing from the home-made cannon. As I was leaving, one of the gang suggested that I "Open up the taps all the way down the road".....I almost obliged. Truck skitters around a lot of a marble surface of road.

Hayden managed to get this picture from the hill where everyone was standing - nearly a quarter mile away.....

Very nice and the scenery is killer. On that quick exit you made, all that smoke, looks like it's burning a little oil...... LOL :poke:

Theresa and I went for a cruise to old main street. Some cars were out and about. Made it home before it started raining.

Drove to the parts store for touch up paint after picking up my first chip last week. I'm not planning on keeping the GTX perfect for the next guy.

I had a bad spot on my car and took it to my body guy. He cut it out and replaced the sheet metal. I told him to clean up any chips he found while it was there. He phoned, knowing how I am about it, I ended up repainting most of the one side. I get where you're going with this, I drive my car a lot and pick up a lot of stuff that flipped up on the highway and ends up hitting my car. The bottom line is, if you drive it, it will get its fair share of chips, like it or not. I do care about it when I'm in it, the next guy is on his own.
Your car is beautiful and it shows that you care. We can only do so much...... Ulli.

Took the Coronet to a local cars and coffee yesterday. Haven't driven it for two months. Forgot how great it runs and drives. Maybe having second thoughts about selling it.

Coronet looks great. If I didn't already have a 67 500 I would be buying yours.

Went out to get a few things and just cruise. The old car foundry was where they built railroad cars many, many years ago. The roof design was to allow for more light to come in to work by. My father in law worked there in the forties.

Rare November cruise out to see GD#2, her big Sister and parents. Took the Son in Law for a boot in the Formula S... may have scared the **** out of him power shifting her through the gears. Man this thing goes. Doesn't skip a beat even at 6500.

Went out today, and the weather was perfect. It was incredible how many cars and motorcycles were out.

This really old guy, about two years younger than me, stops next to me on a full dresser at the red light. He was staring at me, so I rolled the window down. He said his first car was a 65 coronet, and looking at mine made his day. He said he can't remember the last time he has seen one. I have never seen one in the 44 years I've lived in this area, so that was pretty cool. Horns honking, people waving and thumbs up all through town. Saw a 65 fury, very nice and main street old town was overflowing with shoppers walking around. Driving 5 mph on a cobble stone street, it was like a parade.

That's the best part. Everyone here gets it!! It happens to everyone here. Kids waving is really nice, an old man poking his wife, they share a quick comment and then smile as she rolls by. Good times!
