Thats what i say. Haha, the metal i used is thicker than the rest of it so it should work for now

Thicker than stock metal and a decent weld......I don't see why you would ever run into any problems. Why replace the whole thing if you don't have to...Looks good!

Thanks guys. I appriciate it. Just wish the aftermarket supported these body stiles. I wouod kill for a billit k member and r&p

Looks strong enough, are you happy with it? I thought so, mission accomplished! looks good!

Started de-greasing the engine. Pics to follow and all the numbers and such.
Finished the k member. Got rear shocks on.
Saving $$$ to get the clutch and related.

Part of the "related" will be on the way, HOPEFULLY this week! Where did you get the K-frame bushings, if you don't mind me asking, I bought a set from Year-One which was one of the last things i ordered from them, there stiff as you can imagine and the guy i spoke with said they would be, there not like the originals which were a softer bushing he told me... Thanks.

Ron, thanks for the latter
As for the bushings, i have two sets. One set is from Energy Suspension. Ordered them from summit, it came as a kit, bushings. Sleeves, and washers. And are poly. Ran about 45 bones.
I can get the pn if you want

The second set i have is from SolidBushings.com
there solid billit aluminum. alot more $$$ and you would get pritty much the same result from Poly, as you wouls Alloy

Im finding so many different numbers on this on this one while im cleaning it

Great job on the 74 RR, love the body style... You do know that is a 73 hood? but still very nice! Great Job! I know its not easy finding parts for these cars...

Not to bust your bubble but its the original hood, found vin stamp that matches, and has original color remnants on it. Fender tag calls for it too.

But thanks for likin the car non the less.

And Ron. Just got it yesterday. I mailed you something in return. Hope you enjoy it.
That shifter is cool. I appriciate it

How can you tell it's a 73 hood and not a 74? I've never noticed a difference.
