So I just bought this project and may have bit off a bit more then I can handle at this point . I've always wanted one of these but now might not be the time !
Cars a 69 charger yes the best looking car ever made !
Was a 383 auto car no fender tag no build sheet (doesn't really matter it's a 383 car)
I have a list that totals over $15000 in just sheet metal for this car
Some is installed some is hung most is in wrappers still !
I also have a 440 that goes with it and a 833 4 speed car has a 8 3/4 rear
There's other stuff I have to like front end parts door hinges ...... Car needs full restoration but as you all know these area are insane prices and continue to rise .
You could buy a rust bucket for $20k then buy all the sheet metal or skip all the super pain in the but work and big money stuff and go right to welding metal !
Please no stupid ?'s if your interested and have cash contact me !
If not please don't bother me this is a big boy toy not cheap to finish you need deep pockets !!!!
If it's posted it's available don't send generic msg I won't respond ! First with cash gets it !
Can get most loaded in car for shipping will steer .
Shipping is buyers responsibility
Will deal with over seas money must transfer first before car is released
If your interested you come look pictures are useless since most is in bags and boxes
Might (big might ) trade for finished car prefer 73-74 hard top charger!

Entertaining for sure!

I was gonna mention earlier in the thread how I've never seen an AMC rust out like a charger, but held my tongue ........

Yeah, that was the dude, lol. I guess I can't really compare the OP to this guy. He was quite the piece of work, didn't care for him a bit. I like the OP, just kind of disappointed because I was rooting for him to finally get the car of his dreams.....

I guess his dream car has changed to a 73,74 Hard Top Charger LMAO

Just read 10 pages of drama and then ending what was exactly how I thought it would be just not as quick. In all honesty I would like to know what shop in Pa. did all that horrible welding!! Sure it's a Charger and looking at what was already done, it sure looks like when it's done if built off of what's seen, buried in bondo, undercoating and seam sealer it will be another hack job. @Kern Dog "Jigsaw meet the infamous Sawzall Charger" Just to be clear not insulting Kern's car just the major differences in how resurrection work was done...

For years I watched and read through the OP's hard to read posts because he seemed like a decent guy. It took a LOT of self control to keep from commenting on some real obvious things that annoyed me.
What the ****, man?
You obviously know that you would have pissed off this forum because you didn't post a sale ad HERE, you didn't mention HERE that you decided to abandon this piece of **** car. You admitted that this was NOT a $20,000 car but then advertise it for $5000 more than that.
You may find it hard to get the members here to trust or help you from now on. People tried to advise you against this car but either you are stubborn and stupid or you planned on selling the car all along and lied to the members here.
People like you piss people off because they invested time and thought into your efforts, only to be deceived or disappointed.

Wow, what a turnaround.

Interested to hear the story behind the backflip - hopefully it's purely a money making exercise and there's nothing wrong at home that's causing the sale.
Yeah....He either played everyone here or has the attention span of a goldfish.

You have two young kids to feed and several other project cars, right?
Sound advice above, right?

Not sure why you started this thread. It seems like you’ve made up your mind regardless of all the sincere advice.

FACT.

Again if I get it I want everything else gone so the charger is my sole project

People here believed this.

Wasn't tempted at all went out and sprayed not for sale on it !

Trust is earned and quickly destroyed.

Couldn’t agree more Kern, I’m a little upset because late last week I PM’d him that I would like to donate some complete 69 Charger door handles to his project, he replied he needed them, I told him last week I would send them.
He has yet to PM me he no longer needs them, but looks like his ad on FB gave me the answer.

and no weldable primer

replacing hinge pillars, rockers, and door jambs is extensive rust repair on these cars, well beyond the norm....... I want to believe someone knew what they were doing

i obviously knew this was not the case, was just trying to put a positive spin on it
