I'm glad you got that all behind you now. That's one less thing you need to worry about, so now you can really start on your resto thread.

Good deal - I'm sure that is a major load off your mind.

Awesome!

Like my title issues, they took some time, but you prevailed in the end! Now you can concentrate on the car and enjoy it!

Congratulations! :blob1: :VB toast:

The Supervisor kept telling me everything comes up clean on her computer for the history and such.
But, When I run an NMVTIS Report I'm still getting an "Event" shown. However if I push it any further I feel like things will go sour again... I can probably dispute it later if necessary.
I'm not even sure they able to remove things once it hits your vehicle history report?

Today I pulled the trunk lock:

And cleaned it up to have a key made for it. Then come to find out it's just cheaper buying a new lock and key.

I had found the spare Ignition Lock + Keys under the drivers seat when I brought Her Home. Does not look to have ever been used.

Also,
Still having some pretty bad Moisture/Condensation in the rear:

That trunk lock looks good cleaned up. Great you found the extra ignition switch. never know when you might need it. It amazes me what people will throw in their trunk. Have you found anything dated that has been in the car for a long time like old magazines? Maybe with all the moisture, if you did find anything, it's probably not in good shape anyways. I would throw everything that doesn't belong with the car out. Anything that draws/holds moisture might be reason why there is so much moisture inside your car.

Glad to hear that you got the title/registration issue all cleared up.

It's been awhile...
I've not been well, And we have been having Record Rainfall (I don't have a usable garage to work in).

So,
Not much to report besides todays Craigslist purchase:
ront2xRearOriginal1970PlymouthBumpers-PurchasedonCraigslistfor50DollarsEach-05032014_zps86f05d8a.jpg

2x Rear & 1x Front Original 1970 Bumpers! I got them at $50 each.

And could not pass this 1968 GTX Fender up at $20:

The rust in the picture is the worst rust on the whole fender. Needless to say it's in really nice condition.
Hopefully I can Trade it for a nice '70 Passenger Fender.

The guy I got them from says he is still cleaning out his shop, So he will let me know if he finds anymore Mopar stuff.
I would have had to make a 3 hour trip to get these, But was fortunate that He had a truck and had to make a business trip up north and just 15 minutes away from me.

You would be amazed how much stuff you can shove into an Astro Van:

My newest plan is to find a local bumper/body shop and have them remove the chrome from the 2 best bumpers. I will ask for an estimate to have them Re-Chromed, But it's not a priority. I'm fine with Painted Bumpers for now, While I work on her.

Weather (SHOULD) start getting nicer as we head into Summer. So, Hoping to get a Welder and Blaster setup and get some actual work done.

Does anyone up here (Seattle Area) know of somewhere I can get a couple Bumpers De-Chromed/Stripped for a fair price?
I'm getting quotes in the $100 range just to strip it down to Copper. This seems high to Me for just a Chemical Bath and nothing more.

I am also interested in ways I can do this myself.

I have sourced a '70 Passenger Fender. Though, It will have a REALLY BAD dent repair area towards the back. But, If worse comes to worse I can just cut out the front area and weld it on to My existing Fender.
It all depends on if the seller keeps plans to make a trip up here from Oregon and has room to Haul it.

Fender seems to be a no go for now.
And still looking for a Chrome Shop to Strip the Bumpers.

Question:
What is the standard procedure to repair broken METAL Studs, Such as those found on Quarter Extension Panels and Emblems?

If you're talking about broken pot metal studs, there's not much you can do to re-attach on such weak metal. For the quarter extensions, you can flush off the broken part, measure how deep you can go to drill and tap for a small threaded steel rod. Emblems? Two sided tape. :)

The weather sure isint to great and im still wondering if we will get some warm dry stuff before winter attacks us yet again, I wish you luck in getting things done man, trust me i know what your going thru, on another note depending on how big of a job your doing Eastwood has a 50 pd capacity blaster ( they do come larger but more $$) I can find the one i have and send it to you and you can look it up and read it if you like, Ive found it to be a great help even with my small air compressor! and i bought a new mig at a decent price that will do anything with the metal work on these cars were doing easy enough and at a decent price, i to work in a small shop and do what i have to but get thru,,, as long as my body says its ok lol :)

I'm looking into getting some large parts from someone on here, However, They seem to be a brand new member and out of state.
Any further steps I should take along with using Paypal and common sense to make sure the transaction goes well, And that I don't end up getting ripped off?

- JDB

see if some other member is close by and can check on the parts for you. if not, get tons of pictures.
