Monroe's 70 GTX

My 70 has been repainted in lemon twist. Normally I'm not a big fan of yellow but I like it on the 70 body style but when I saw yours I'm thinking maybe I should go back with the original green. Since it's going to be media blasted I can paint it any color. Kind of hate to change colors with a matching # car.
I know what you mean. I'm a bit of a fan when it comes to originality. Even though mine isn't #matching I still wanted it back to as original as I can make it. Having said that, if you aim to keep it for a long time you also have to be happy with the colour as well. All comes down to personal preference I suppose.

nice car my roadrunner is a factor white car

This one had been painted white when I first got it. Bit of an ordinary job though. I don't mind the white, they look cool. Is the interior the white as well or black?

really looks good. Will look even better as you get some trim and shiny stuff on it.

vinyl roof is going on today. I saw the start of it when I dropped off some parts, but couldn't hang around 'cause I had to get to work. At least I got a couple of pics first. Guys were a bit camera shy, that's why they're blocked out.

Sweet, coming along nicely.
Can't wait to see it done
Can you tell me what your interior code on the fender tag is for that car?
I noticed in your first pics the seats have dark skirts and a lighter center, are they the original seats?
Trying to figure out correct seats for mine.

Hi 440, The interior code is EF8. As far as I can tell they're original, judging by the stitching and the way it looks on the underside. Also I've got a couple of pics of another GTX with the same codes as mine, and the interior looks just the same. Cheers.

EF8 is a paint code (Ivy Green Metallic), I love this color btw.
The interior code should be P6F8, P3F8, H1F8 or H2F8 on the fender tag.
Keep posting those pics.

You're right, sorry 'bout that. Interior is P6F8, interior paint is EF8. Cheers mate.

So what would be P6XA? Thanks.
Black interior, seats are bucket with charcoal skirts (bolsters) and black centers and silver welt, everything else inside is black.

Hi Tim. A bloke named Simon, who subs for Bayside customs in Hastings. Don't know his last name, he painted it in Dandy somewhere near Swift Way.

Cool. That would look awesome.

Finally home

Finally picked it up yesterday, looks awesome. Now for the hard road, putting everything back together. Just a couple of quick snaps to show you all.

You mean , now comes the fun part. There's nothing like putting together a hot rod where all the parts are clean or restored. You can barely get your hands dirty. Proffesional wrench turners will attest to that.
