Those look pretty sweet, what's the third reservoir for (just extra capacity)?????????

Water pump replacement . . . don'r know if I like what I see . . .

Spent some time on the Belvedere Today, just little stuff, cleaning up welds, removing paint . . . nothing too exciting. And looking at the hydraulic clutch master and the linkages to get them hooked up . . . don't have an answer yet.

Got into the Hemi tonight - got the new water pump, so it's time to swap it out . . . and I'm not too sure I like what I see . . .

Here's what the block looks like after the pump was removed . . .

And what the inside of the water pump looked like . . .

Can you say "YUCK" . . .

The second reservoir is probably the way that they did the dual brakes - with 2 single reservoirs - that's my guess . . . One drives the fronts, the other the backs ? ?

I'm looking at the pics on my phone so it's kinda hard to see, is that the milky color of mixed oil and coolant in the water pump? Hope not!

And USArr that bottom wilwood pedal assembly with the speed hole pedals is awesome! Any link to it??

Hey Speedy - I don't think it's oil mixed in - there was still some water that drained out when I removed the water pump and I did not see any indications of oil in the water. Glad that I'm swapping the pump as the old one had all kinds of silicone on it and I'll bet money that the pulley seal will be leaking like a sieve ! ! !

Gonna take a little time and clean up the casting edges on the new pump to assure good water flow . . . might as well why the pump is still accessible ! !

That's a great idea KB. I'm real good at spending others peoples money. That cam will work great with the future supercharger. That will make your hair blow in the wind.

Yeah I think it would go well with a Megasquirt engine management system, maybe a blower or other forced induction. Its always fun spending others hard earned cash with bench racing peer pressure.....:tied up: :poke:

So maybe a cam swap while its easy......wink wink

Hmmmm KB . . . you got a good point there . . . while I'm at it ! ! ! ( smile )

OK KB . . . I think I've just invested more in my engine and drive train then I've got invested in the rest of the car ! !! LMAO . . .

But it'll look COOL and it'll run like CRAZY ! !! YEAH ! ! !

Well it'll balance out in the end but you are saving a lot of moula with the body work but the mechanicals are expensive too hehehe

Im not to fantastic at the engine building myself, but ill wager this will turn out better then you thought if its anything at all like what you've done with the compartment this will set in!!! A bigger cam does sound inviting! ;)

Finally back in the shop . . .

It's been too long, and I've not been able to make it into the shop . . . as you know, I programmed a golf league website, with my dad, and we made a great team. When I lost my pop ( over a year ago ) the Secretary position that he'd held for years was vacant - and nobody knew how to run the league with the new-fangled website and software. They asked me to fill in for my pop - while I'm working on finishing up the programming of the website, and run the day to day activities of the league. That's what tends to keep me busy - spent most of the day yesterday building the new outing schedule for the 2014 season to get it posted on the website.

Yes, it's time consuming . . . but it's a way to remember the good times I had with my pop and see "our" vision of a better golf league through to completion.

Well, got that done, and was able to make my way back out to the garage and burn some holes in my clothes while welding up some things . . .

Here's what I was able to get done . . .

I got a bunch of other little things done - mostly welding and finishing up some stuff that needed to get done.

Nice to be back in the shop again ! ! ! !
