My 66 Satellite street car project

looks a lot wider than a 10.50 from the pictures. I'm running 390/45-15 so 14.5" wide and it's tight!!!

How tall is that tire or how close are you to rubbing the inner qtr where it turns in the wheel well

29.5 (mine measure 30)

It's close no doubt, but I have extensive work done to both inner and outer wheel tub. My outer wheel tub lays against the inner quarter (there is no step there anymore) its been pushed out as far as possible. The only time it rubs is when I put the entire family in the car (5 people) and make hard turns. I could probably get that to go away if I raised the back a bit but It tucks the 30"s pretty hard and looks pretty good doing it IMPO, so I really don't want to do that.

Your car definitely looks awesome I know you put a lot of effort into it gives me motivation

Got the Strange 9" Yesterday but was pretty pissed when I opened the box and realized they didn't powder coat it like they were supposed to! So now it's going to be another week and $325 bucks extra to fix that...They even called me specifically to verify the powder coating option. Wish people would just do their job.

Nice! We used POR15 on the 9" in the Nova, looks like it's powder coated. It was out on using $.99 brush, it self leveled and looks awesome. Plus it's as hard as a rock, you can't chop it with a hammer!
thought I would throw that out there if you're looking to save some $$$

Should have used a Dana, lol! Just busting your chops!!

I'm thinking of doing Drag Week in 2019, First time I've seen it in the east coast starts in Virginia runs up through Maryland, Then to NJ and back down to Virginia. Looking at the classes I would be running (Big Block Naturally Aspirated Street Race Category) and I know I have no chance of winning but i want to do it for the experience. The winning car (Big Chevy Powered Fox Body) won with a 8.99

Anyone else thinking about it. Here is the link to dates and tracks.

Went to Cruisin' Ocean City MD this weekend. If you've never been there and are close enough defiantly go. It was an awesome experience and I will be back in the fall. Some pics of the car before and during the show.

I saw your car down there on the street! Didn’t get a chance to get a close up, we were sitting in happy jacks for breakfast

Been awhile since I posted up anything. Been to the track a few time and had some issues. First problem I was trying to get through was a horrible popping out the exhaust around 6200rpm. Thought it might be valve float but weeks later figured it out to be a Ghost Rev Limit set off by the MSD Digital/Programmable 6. MSD said they it's a known problem and to send it back. I wanted to finish out the season so I took the Rev Control out and found the car to work pretty well. Although on my 5 pass I was a bit late on the stick and spun her up to 7400, As noted on the Data Logger...But It survived...

This was at Maplegrove Raceway during the Mopar Madness event, I went 3 rounds then Red lite myself on the trailer, Great day though.

Well I made the decision to repaint the car. The first paint job wasn't to my satisfaction, so I paid someone else to fix it. The quarters didn't match the doors on either side and there was a lot of hazy ghosting under the clear on the trunk. There were also a bunch of sand scratches on the quarter that the metallics laid into and looked like ****. So I found this place Tri State Classic Car Restoration in Marlboro NJ and so far they seem to be doing a fantastic job. Another 2 weeks till it's done just in time for summer!!

A few pics. Car is painted and looks flawless. I can't be happier..
A goal for me was to have interchangeable hood scoops. I wasn't sure how I would like the tall version of the RO/WO23 scoop so I had the body shop make them interchangeable and found out it wasn't as easy as I thought. The bolt hole weren't even close and the dimensions are off just enough to make this a real PITA. I need the hood clearance of the tall scoop but love the look of the original so I'll wait to see what the tall looks like on the car and go from there.

Looks terrific! Now comes the fun of reassembly. This body design has the nicest body lines going and they fit. Many of us share the same thoughts as you when it comes to hood scoops. Space is always the issue. Nice job!
