My first 58 Belvidere

Solex glass. The factory tinted glass. Its worth some bucks. If it has that, a dual quad intake and the grille "V" emblem, you are way ahead of the game on your investment. I bought a 58 wagon recently. And yes, prepare to open your wallet. These things are super expensive to restore and buy parts for.

Just curious on the wagon - what motor and trans does it have? Damn I had two great chances to get wagons; a '59 Dodge and '63 Plymouth few years ago and let em go.

This thread is so much fun. I can’t wait until next week’s episode to find out if the girl, in this case Rustine, agrees to go home with the boy. Plus, everyone here is so supportive. Makes me smile.

It’s one big treasure hunt! If you never realized that’s what us car guys enjoy always looking for something...

It has a poly and the push button three speed auto trans. Its locked up and all going to scrap.
440 and 65 727 to keep the push buttons. also replacing the rear with a 67 c-body 8 3/4 to utilize the modern brakes and lose the tapered axles. Supposed to be a direct bolt in with the same pinion angle.

Thanks - replaced my '63's rear with a '65 Coronet - perfect bolt on. Have a '65 trans; but the original has held up nice so still sitting on the shelf. Good luck with the build and if you find time keep us posted.

Looks like something I would pull out of the woods. I pulled this out last weekend.

The lost Vanishing Point Challenger?

The vanishing point challenger has always been one of my favorites cars. What's the chances of finding a white challenger setting in the woods since 1982. Other than the trunk pan it's pretty solid. Has the fender tag, rallye dash and bucket seats.

I am interested in seeing the 58 pulled out of the woods. Looks like a car Scott on cold war motors would like.

Hard to believe someone would dump THIS car in the woods. Too weird...how did you come across this?

A guy bought these cars to use parts back in the 1980's and never done anything with them. Guy is a good guy but realized he wouldn't never do anything with them I guess I hit him up at the right time. He also has a 71 challenger may try to buy it later but didn't want to push my luck.

It's almost backhoe time. When I lifted the rear of the car yesterday the trunk contents fell out, the exhaust pipes were dangling, but the leafs are there, shot, and unsprung, but there. I'm gonna put another good under the rear and dragger out. This place had over 300 cars in it. The guy that told me about it pulled 3 69 rt chargers out 5 months ago. The cars are being crushed . Sold at a little over scrap. Sad. The guy crushing doesn't know the value.

Take some time to educate him that you’ll find them a better home and split the profit with him and help save what’s left!
Did the chargers get saved?

The 3 did, but the Chevelle's, 68 Camaros, opels, 59-70ish Impalas, Coronets, 60s furys, 50-80s wagon's, trucks, have all been crushed. There are about 15 or 20 cars left.

Cars left out there and day by day they are getting crushed and stacked, but as of now there are 3 54 ford pickups, 1 78 f150, 1 57 2 door Cadillac DeVille, 3 59 Impalas, 1 70 super bee/ Coronet in the way way back, 2 53 dodge pickups, a 55 GMC towtruck, and a few others.....there might be more that 20, because there is a spot with about 3 Pinto's 1 is a wagon, gremlin's, few Vega's........also I paid $500 for the car, when I got it out I checked the oil and it is still full, and the oil did NOT LOOK BAD. So I'm gonna on blast the plugs, and carefully remove them and add some ATF. And eventually try and start this old girl.

Someone should at least save that Super Bee.
