Waking up the beast

Wow, the converter was worth 3/10's!? Awesome. Hey btw, you are officially 0.06 from needing a roll bar, right? Well done, bob, hell of a lot of progress.

If only you could tile that good. (I kid, I kid.)

Yes, no, and yes.
It was good for 2-1/2 tenths off my best time.
No, actually 0.02 from a bar. The Amish wonder didn't get my best pass which was [email protected].
And yes, i wish I could tile that good.

congrats it sounds like it's working great 11.50's

It feels good to achieve a goal that was set at the beginning of the year. Just by tweaking and learning how to drive it. The only thing added to the original setup was a torque converter and parts that I broke. I guess the next thing is to add a cage, suspension and good intake and carb and see where that gets me.

Just goes to show how important the converter is (matched to the combo), many people leave the stock one in then wonder why the combo doesn't perform.

Car looked good at the valley!!! you may need a fuel tank with a sump and a victor intake!!! LOL Also I may know of a 451 motor with bulldog heads for sale. Runs 11.27 at 3900 lb's . with poor driver.

Haha, thanks.
You're a sump bully! The victor sounds good. We'll have to discuss this 451. Maybe for the kid's car.

Replaced the idler arm on the GTX today. I only got 3 seasons out of the old one. What a difference it made driving it. Greased everything underneath and put longer wheel studs in front.(busted by tech last weekend.)

Like the lifetime warranty.
Just take your old wore out Moog piece to your local parts store and get a new one. Easy.

Was out with Nendra on Saturday. went consistently in the 11.5's with not ideal conditions for this time of year. Island dragway for the next two races. Hopefully the air gets better and I can break into the 4's.

Impressive

good luck next race too

Congrats. When it cools off a little bit and the car pics up you are going to have to put a roll bar in. Ahh the rewards of going fast.... more safety equipment. ;)

Already looking into the cage. My car twists like a pretzel when I leave. Hopefully stiffening up the car offsets the weight of the cage.

Looks like a washout for Saturday. But I may go to Island on Sunday . Sunny in the 50's with low humidity:)
