Want to talk about NSS Cars intellectually.

I find it so ironic that the word intellectually in the title thread really confused a few that are so heavily involved in the NSS scene.I wonder if they used the thesaurus to figure out the meaning.
The word of the day is IRONIC!

No the 'phrase' of the day is- DOUBLE OR NOTHING :coffee::fish::tearyeyed::director2:

I'm seriously thinking about selling my 63 max wedge savoy.
It's an unbelieveably consistent reliable car but I want to concentrate on my other 3 and i just dont use it much anymore. This is NOT an ad.
This is a true NSS car with a show car paint job and can be put back on the street. I have an original 62 date coded max wedge motor to go with the carif interested as well with 2000 original miles.
best pass to date is 9.96@136 mph, and goes 10.06-10.09 consistently if you can push buttons consistently.
Anyone want a killer deal,pm me with a serious offer.

So i hear they are allowing B1 original and MC heads in NSS.I cant see how they could be legal since they dont look OE at all. Oil drainbacks front and rear, tall raised exhaust ports,
I call BullS*** on this one.
NMCA rules strictly state externally they must look like OE but internally they can be modified. So someone must be keeping their hood closed!!! :icon_joker:

Just braggin

There is a photo of my '66 on the home page for ANW. Scroll to the bottom center - my car is on the left behind the '66 Belvedere (which is my good pal Tom's car) My late father is standing in front of the car in the yellow t-shirt. This was at the '07 CHRR - heres a fun fact, after the second round it was all Mopars...Chrysler is King.

So with all this talk about NSS cars going real fast, does anyone really really know if you can run a B1 head in NSS?
I cant get a straight answer from anyone!!
Theres a few know it alls that say yes, but i cant believe anything they say.
So does anyone have the inside scoop on the NMCA rules?
Anyone have a hotline to Doug Duell?
Anyone-

This should answer you question from the man him self.....Im sure you were lurking on the other website but just incase you didnt see it...

I have been ask to clarify about the use of B-1 heads in NSS. These heads are legal in all NSS classes. We have only have a few racers using them but they are legal. Thanks, Doug Duell

get in the know NOJOKE, who do you think was talking to Doug Duell yesterday for 45 minutes about the head choices and tire sizes and front end requirements? :icon_winkle:
Yes it was me. And all B1 heads are legal including the TS Heads according to Doug. All i need to do is change to a K frame from the rack and the black dodge is legal. He said the rack is not strictly enforced either in AAA/FX.:dink:

******UPDATE*****
B1 TS Heads are ILLEGAL as per Doug Duell. He called me today because he got a few phone calls and someone got his ear to not allow the B1 TS head.
oh well,life goes on.

Hi guys I'm currently building a 66 Satellite as a fast street car but wanting to run C/NSS Maybe B/NSS. My question is would NMCA allow QA1 K Frame with a Borgeson steering box? This would be big deal cause I already ordered and installed an entire QA1 front end. Also is Hydraboost Legal cause I'm running that also.

Typical bullshit. Push all the beer-budget racers outta the fun. Nostalgia Pro-stock was the same way. Nothing nostalgic about vintage looking cars going 2-3 seconds faster than they ever did in their famous time period.

YOU'LL NEED A STOCK K FRAME AND I DO BELIEVE YOU CAN MODIFY IT, by lightening it by cutting it around the oil pan area and bracing it in.
This is a requirement for most of the NMCA classes. If you look at my last post regarding this.
AAA/FX class is lax on this requirement but is still mandatory for a stock but modified K frame.
Unless they changed the rules since i made this initial thread way back.

Yes on torsion bars. I basically went with the QA1 stuff cause it was originally a small block car and didn't want to clean, fix, or paint the factory stuff. Plus header clearance for the -1 Max Wedge Indy Heads and 2 1/8 headers was a bonus. Keeping stock but plated LCR's with QA1 uppers.

Where do I go to find official rule book for this class?
