What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Sir Peter Leitch aka 'The Mad Butcher' - started with one store, finished up selling out 20+ stores. Huge Rugby League fan.....affectionately known as the 19th Warrior.
I have bumped into a couple of times and had a chat with him.....crazy & generous. :D

Here is the one I was missing last night, Rog

Was it the socket?

I've noticed on my Dakota, that the sockets are wearing in an odd way that causes the bulb to either not work or work intermittently if it's fully seated.
Pull it out a bit and it starts working.
I've replaced both turn sockets on the front and I think the backup light sockets have the same issue.
What year is your Dakota? 'Her' (was ours) 2000 Durango was one nice vehicle as far as problems were concerned but she burned it up shortly after divorcing me :D My 95 Dakota is finally giving me some electric crap after being an outside truck for so many years but think I might have thought what the fix might be.

I'm thinking of doing the same as this one doesn't look like the one I wanted, but the juries still out and I have other expenses to deal with. The joys of home ownership!
Boy, I could've surely used my Dad's old stretch board this past month!
Rather have the 'joys' of home ownership than the joys of apartment living!! Did that for a short stretch and hated every bit of it! But now I'm starting to look at......assisted living....? Rather find some nice not so older woman to assist me!

Millennium edition (2000)

The trim plugs on the top to cover the unused hinge bolt holes were glued in and glued on.
I broke 2 of the 3 and bent the 3rd. Had to drill them out. WTF?
Guess I'll get some shallow head Phillips machine thread screws so the holes don't fill up with crap.

Guess what?

Those 5/16 head screws are NOT 10-24, 10-32 or M5/M6!

NOTHING at Lowes matched. I tried every board in case they were cross threaded/mangled from forcing.

WTF?

Nippon, Brit, number size?

I did find some black automotive push fasteners that ended up working.

Christmas Eve.....wife has had enough cooking for the day....ready for tomorrow and a feast.
So, I had to order pizza again.....

Got some funny looks when I was asked which order was mine... I told the woman "Jack Mehoff" .......blank and stunned look. :D
My wife says I am a very rude man.

Looks like you've got some pretty good competition.

...or there are a LOT of people with very unusual names in your area.

For a good laugh: Next time you're in a crowded restaurant where they're putting names on a waiting list, and the person announcing names when tables become availabe is female, give them the name Mike Hunt.

Quite a bit of hardware and even fittings are U.S. thread but the head/flats etc are metric.

The instructions say 5/16 head.

...but the threads don't match anything available that I could find.

I turned a turkey in to burritos & baked punkin pahs.

Sorry didn't mean to upset you!:rofl:
Is there a reason to save $5 a pound and buy bone in roast? Enlight me meatman.:lol:

Flavor country. With bone-in product you will lose the net meat gain vs the boneless by saving $5 a pound, but the extra flavor more than makes up for it. That goes for any bone-in product. That is our meat lesson for the day :D

Should've known/remembered. Couple of years Costco was selling bone in pork chops, wife buys boneless most of the time. She bought bone in this time. I looked and thought these are fatter than most I've seen. She has tendency to over cook meat but not this time. They great like when I was a kid before they started breeding pigs with less fat. After a couple months back to the lean chops.
