What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

what's the mold for ?
refresh our memories

One of my Custom Spoiler models... The black one in the lower image is the original prototype that I carved out of wood. The resin model behind it came out of the mold that I made from the wooden prototype. It too is just an R&D prototype for future development.

You should do a YouTube video on how you do that. I'd love to learn how.

Well 2021, don't let that door hit you on the *** on the way out! The sanding is done... the painter shows up on New Years Day !

So how's 2022 going for you so far?? Today I got all the drywall dust out of the basement. I used the Wife's new vacuum attachment, don't tell her. Worked like a charm at getting all the dust off the walls and floor. Figured the bearings were about done in the central vac anyhow, so why not make that repair job worth the effort. Who would have thought that the filter bag would have chose today, after 24 years of staying in place to fall out!! I successfully transferred all that drywall powder to the garage and I'm not even pissed off about it, just glad the window was up in my truck... as I usually leave it down! Nothing an air hose couldn't fix. Blew the cars off and a quick rinse, then put a fan in one corner of the garage and took the air hose to it as well. Good as new.. ffs... (Thank God they weren't parked wet!)

Damn, and I thought I was the only one that had goofy **** happen to me! Just more sand out of the hour glass. On the up side, you are done sanding.

Dad and I bought two Ford Crown Vics,a 1992 and a 1993 which are going to be turned into demolition derby cars.We love finding these for demolition derby cars up to a certain year. These are a genuine POS.The 1992 is going to my place

Played plumber today, just glad I caught the leaking seal before I got the basement ceiling up ! Why it was installed with an extension flange wax seal 25 years ago is beyond me, but it split. Regular wax this round.... and nobody to blame but me!

Painting some doors and door frames today....trying to finish Bedroom 2 before starting on #3.

Pulled the masking tape of the windows and door frames just now....8:20pm, and I'm sweating like a rapist. Man it is still blazing hot here. Got to get up at 4:00am for an early start-up of machinery plant. Paint on the doors and windows turned out great. :D

Instructions say touch-dry in 30 minutes....more like 15 here.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Hmmm.....
Well, I did work on my own car but I also worked on someone else's car.

I am SO tired of this thing. I got it in a multi car deal in 2016. I never wanted the friggin toad. I hate these cars.
I planned to finish and sell it but A friend of a friend wanted it as is....and gave me $2000 for it. I thought that was the end of it.
It was not the end at all.
They needed help with it and to get the car out of my place sooner, I was enlisted in doing stuff to it. As seen in the picture above, it was just a rolling shell of a '65 Valiant Convertible. Since this picture was taken, I've installed a B body 8 1/4 rear axle with 2.71 gears, 11" front discs, a low gear 904 trans and 1966 style steering column and shift linkage.
Before Christmas, I helped the guys set the engine. The 318 is from a 1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. Those cars had air injection style heads and they require matching exhaust manifolds OR to have the air injection ports plugged. We tried to fit an early A LH exhaust manifold on the engine but the bulges from the air injection stuck out. I took a grinder to the bulge and ended up cutting through to a water jacket.
TODAY I replaced the heads. Using air powered tools for all the fasteners made quick work of it all. Yeah....I used a torque wrench for reassembly!

Of course its hot....its summer in the southern hemisphere ! I remember being in Perth in Feb 1981. Beautiful summer weather. It didn't seem too hot after sweltering in the Gulf of Oman for a couple months . The biggest plus was the aussie lasses in their summer cloths and going to the beach !

Keeping in context with this thread...I ran ethernet cabling to a couple locations in the house. Namely to my wife's office computer. For some reason it does' t get a strong wireless signal in that room. Them I worked on my shooting rig. It is all new and I needed to get it set up properly. I need to practice to ensure I have everything placed right. Also, had to shorten some screws that stuck through too far. Don't want to catch them on the draw !

Hung Mopar wall art in the den. Was originally going to hang it in the garage; wife says it's too nice for the garage, it should go in the house. That's my girl!

Priming done, on to the ceiling grid... ffs...

The only bonus, I have NEVER been able to drive to the basement door in January ! Hopefully I still can when it's time to bring in 3600 lbs of flooring.
