Nice. I finished the wiring on a rural Drama Club building about 17 years ago.....it put me in good stead for moderating here.

Finishing a job that a bunch of other part-timers started was no easy task......picking up a mess basically. Never mind....paid by the hour works for me.

just posted a bunch of stuff im selling on another site. messed around in the yard.... run off some city folks.
I run off all city folks too....thing is, I live in the city :(
Went for a couple of boat rides. Only a couple more weekend left before they lower the lake level for the winter.

Why do they lower the lake level for the winter?
Called out to repair a motor terminal block that an over-enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice had over-tightened.

Ended up buying a new block......Chinesium rubbish. Split studs are not designed to take much torque.

One big stirrer. :D
Ever see the size a mixer (stirrer) that came out of a crude oil storage tank? That thing got nutin on it lol
Sunday, I installed the old seat from my Spartan ZTR mower on my Ford 4000 Diesel tractor. Had a friend weld up the mounting plate to bolt the seat to, and I painted it up, and bolted the seat on the tractor. I now realized I have about two inches more elevation in my seating position, and the pedal reach is different....this might take a full run in the pasture to get used to! It sure looks nice! A big difference over the stock steel pan seat, for certain.
I need to get a better seat for my garden tractor and hopefully I can do that this winter. Glad there wasn't much of a mowing season this summer.
Today, I asked my wife if she wanted a new kitchen table and chairs. As always, she looked at me and said, OK, what's up. I said my shop chairs are starting to rip. They were our old kitchen set from many years ago. So, I'm thinking, I get hers for my shop, and she gets new, and I'm good to go........ So after a very short conversation I went out and bought some material and reupholstered my chairs..

The trees here are putting out new leaves after just about dying from the drought....
Was up the far North end of the runway and thought someone was baiting deer with a bag of Gala apples. Then I looked up to find an Apple tree intertwined with a White Pine. Guess 30 years of eating them while cutting the grass and tossing the core finally paid off. Now to find a ladder ...

Gala apples.....they make nice targets :D Yeah, I don't like them much.

I'm still moving stuff from the trailer into the house....between rain showers so when it's raining, I'm cleaning out the selves in the 'clean room' and getting ready to box it up to get rid of.

Why do they lower the lake level for the winter?

That’s so when the ice starts breaking up in March the sheets of ice doesn’t take out people’s walls. The lake is lowered three vertical feet. Rain, streams and springs fill it back up once the ice is gone.

Talk about a beautiful day!! 73 in my shop with only the back overhead door and the front pass through door open. Supposed to hit 84 for a high.....sooooo glad the 3 digit temps are gone. And the guy that I built the 8 3/4 for finally came by and picked it up. He also bought a 590 cam that was still laying around but he didn't want the lifters. Says he may run hydraulics on it. Oooo k. This guy knows it all and well, told him that I didn't think juice lifters would be compatible with the solid lifter cam and he should do some research on that. His stuff and his money was green but have heard you could run juice lifters on the solid cam.

That brings back so many memories. I used just over 5 cords a winter.
That's nine bush cords stacked... looks like she.. LOL... has about 4 more to go. Then into the woods to cut and split the tops of 300 harvested trees. Son has 325 or so next door as well... ffs...

We took our camper out for winter storage, ad my other half is heading to FL on Monday. Our Host Larry, was diagnosed with Cancer, and moving pretty slow right now. He, and His Wife Linda, are GREAT People, so I tell him to have a job for me when we go out. One of his barns needed some roof repair, so we got that done. It needs a new sheet on the corner, but he can't locate any matching panels. Praying for Them Both, as They are Both True American Patriots...
