1:concourse restoration
2: keeping it alive/bringing it back to life
3: I can make this better
4: full blown mods
just wondering where most of us are going with the cars

i love super modifications on these cars.nothing like a huffer sticken out of the hood!that being said,i try to make my builds returnable to stock.unless i am doing some very serious power and suspention mods i try to keep it all unboltable.

Some cars are all out race, some are almost stock and some have been daily driver beaters. Don't think I've ever left one totally stock tho but the only thing that I haven't modified just a little is my wife's 2000 Durango unless ya want to count the over sized tires....

It depends on the car. If it's relatively rare I would not cut it at all so somebody could put it back to concourse easily someday if they wanted to. If it's a fairly common mass produced model, the sky is the limit.

:icon_scratch: well everybudy tells me that I'm older than dirt ,so I guess I'll be old school:eusa_think:

I fall in the "keeping it / bring it back to life" part of the list. I am not brand specific, I love to check out all types of cars. It's amazing to see the different ideas that people have and what they do to cars.

I agree with a "all the above" but and going by whats there to choose from, I would still have to say at least 2 and 3 which really go together the way i think when i start a project, without them, i would be wasting my time and the cars wouldn't be as good as they turn out...

I fall in to category #3, stock with a few of my own touches

How about "none of the above" I do what, I like & don't care if anyone else likes it or not, sometimes the best of factory stuff spanning a few years, for that model... I've had cars or trucks in every fashion, from bone stock to Pro/mod... If I had to pick one of the above, It would be #3, fit's kind of, I can always make it better, I've kind of been a day 2 type guy most of my car life... I like to keep stock body lines unaltered, on almost all my cars {Unless it's a race car}, always better handling larger wider performance tires tucked under, never sticking out or rubbing & lowered when it fits the type/style of build & I almost always improve, ignition, fuel system, brakes, shocks, handling/suspension & HP {allot of cylinder head work & camshaft/valve-train changes}, trans TQ converter or Clutch, I can't help myself there... I almost always put on nice rims & tire unless it has stock rims I like already, example my 99 Dakota SLT 4x4 5.2ltr. daily driver, it just has bigger 32"x11" tires, 1.7:1 Harlen Sharpe roller rockers, Hypertec/Programmer tuner, Flowmaster 3" cat back exhaust, Edelbrock shorty chrome headers {when I finally install them}, better AEM air box & gauze filter, AEM T/B swirl spacer, better brakes, drilled & slotted rotors, larger Monroe Gas shocks, Royal Purple full synthetics oils thru out... It looks pretty stock from the exterior, but runs far better than it ever did stock... I like to think, I do what Plymouth/Dodge should have done to begin with... If it's a really rare car, like a Hemi or 6bbl/Six-Pack car {that isn't a race car}, I would probably keep it as close to stock as possible now, maybe just shocks, sway bars, rims, tire & igniton.... But years long ago I would have altered them too, I've mellowed some lately...LOL...but I rarely would spend that kind of money, on a trailer queen or garage ornament, that I couldn't, shouldn't or wouldn't hardly ever drive, that ain't me, why own a car/truck, you can't or wont drive... I know I'm not the purist type, that thinks ever car needs to be saved, or left alone, IMHFO some or most are destined to be altered, that's for damn sure...

As said,I'm old school in a class of my own:pimp:

She Look's damn good & what class would that be...LOL.. racing 8.90, 9.90, 10.90, Super Pro, NSS, FX ???... sorry I couldn't resist...

It depends on what pullies are being used:blob1:

Yeah I understand for sure, probably comp license & tires selection, maybe even wheelie bars too... 1:1 or Underdirive or Overdrive, how many #'s of boost, compression or tuning, along fuelpressure/flow, Ignition & timing, just put the damn little pulley on top & the big pulley on the bottom...LOL...

Bud,if it were that easy,,,,,everyone would do it.But to give you an idea,4 lbs of boost gave me 9.9s @135.That was with a pair of HOLLEY 750 dp's.I'm looking foward to spring and getting a comp licence.I'll do that with 8 lbs, that gives me over 800 HP:eusa_whistle:
