Jeremey's Ivy Green Metallic 1970 Plymouth Satellite Sport 2 Door Hardtop

Congrats to the title, been down that road, for me it was a dead end.
Spauldo pulled every string but the American bureaucracy won!
I will take an extra drink tonight so you can tell your friends that the Title is celebrated even in Europe!

what yard yard and where in WA. did you did you pick this up. I moved away from WA. in 2006, the area outside the yard looks familiar. nice find

Great story, glad u saved her. fyi, the trunk key wont match the others, wont even fit in the cylinder. at least my 69 doesnt. I believe it was a concenience feature to be able to open the trunk while the car is started.

Well it's -25deg out and I don't have a garage, So... needless to say I havent got to work on her much.

I had a scare when I did an NMVTIS checked and apparently the "Backlogged" info showed up from the 17th, Wrecker sent in that the car was "SOLD" and this info lay under "Junk & Salvage" Subcategory... There are still no actual Brands on the history.
I went down to the DMV and was told this is normal/mandatory for salvage yards and then assured (Again) the Title itself SHOULD be fine. Not to mention I already have current Reg, Plates and Tabs.

I don't see anything to worry about, They already have it registered with plates.. Please, keep the cold there, Its 60.7 out here, thats going to be short lived im afraid though...

Where is this self service pick- n- pull wrecking yard? I'm looking for a 1970 Roadrunner parts donor car. Thanks.

What a great story, you could damm near publish that story. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the kind words everyone!
She looks better in the pics than in person, And gets me worrying that I got Myself into more than I wanted to... But! I'll fight through the troubles and hoping to have her fully roadworthy by March.

See above /\ Only other B-Body in the yard right now is a 1975 Cordoba 400ci.
PS: I think I've seen your sport on Craigslist on a few searching occasions. Heh.

Note: Last Day Monday/21st for the 50% Anything pulled from the PickNPull yards "Secret Sale", Just need to have the free toolkit rewards card.

Don't get yourself thinking you bit off more then you can handle. I'm sure when you first got it you were getting yourself pumped up and now you're thinking "what the hell did I just do". Take your time and maybe start on something small to fix and work your way up to bigger repairs. Get on here and ask any question that comes to mind, somebody will answer. Before you know it, your car will be in primer ready for a shiny new coat of paint. I've had my RR for over 24 years and am just now in the last couple years working on it. The members on here are the reason for that. If I thought I was in way over my head I would've sold my car years ago.

take it one day at a time. bit by bit you'll get it done.

And this thread will now continue on as my "Build Thread", So stay tuned!

So today after a 50% Pick N Pull run;
Got an edelbrock intake, Carter AFB 4bbl carb and Mopar Coil~Free attached to the intake pulled from a Cordoba w/ a 400ci + Some aftermarket CD Players.

ANYWAY (Rambling on).

I came Home, Was already dirty and the weather was un-expectedly nice.
So I uncovered Her, But, She didnt want to start after sitting about a week... Went like this for quite awhile (Click for Video):

She finally sprung to life! (Click for Video):

The Pulley/Belt/Other? Whine is very annoying, Need to find it and fix it.
Note the smoke coming from the carb area, I'm feeling there is oil spewing out there for some reason.

I also noted in the daylight I could very well see an orange arc between the throttle rod and the back of the drivers valve cover???...

Other than that She sounds good, Haha.

So, I stuck my hand around the back side of a header and sure enough there is an exhaust manifold leak, But it gets worse... The bolt, Or should I say Bolt HEAD is wobbling around and I grab it with pliers (Hot!) And pull out the broken bolt head...
Needless to say I'm not looking forward to do a whole upper rebuild just because of a stupid broken bolt. And who knows how many more could break if that one did randomly...

Took the dirty Valve Cover off (Click to Enlarge):

Cleaned it (Click to Enlarge):

Needs to be soaked as there is quiet a bit of crud under the plate, Also needs sanded and repainted.

Here is how She is looking underneath (Click to Enlarge):

I really don't know how much play, If any, Is acceptable~But the 2nd down from the rear moves side to side a bit, It's not major but could be causing some clicking/tapping on top of the mani leak.

I also took off this nasty thing, And Baggied up the clips. Much Better. (Click to Enlarge):

Otherwise helped my Father with his '83 Volvo, But he still seems to be in denial of it having a Head gasket issue. He always looks on the bright side of things though and helps me chill when I get all pissy over~say... a broken bolt? Heh.

And I leave you with a engine bay pic:

Cleaning up real nice. Sounds like you have a weak spark plug wire or a broken wire back there arcing. Looks like that hood insulation has seen it's better days. Broken bolt issue, yeah I've had those. All you can do is try and take the rest off them off to get it out. Hopefully they all won't break, but if they do you know they'll be new going back in and last awhile.

Really pretty bummed about the Broken Bolt.

With how much length is on the broken bolt head it's probably going to be flush or down inside.
Had not planned on taking the heads off any time soon, But Looks like I'll have to... Anyone know any other options? I'm sure there isnt unless it has some sticking out, But thought I'd ask anyway.

I'm gonna "spray soak" the bolts in wd-40/break free stuff for awhile before I attempt to remove any others.

Here is the culprit:

Sure looks like it broke off right at the head. About all you can do now is spray, soak, wire brush the threads, repeat for the other bolts/nut. For the one that is broke off, you might have to drill into what's left of the stud and try and use an easy-out to get it.

Great story

Great story and congratulations Aesthetikz! Sounds like you got a hell of a deal. Post some more pics your others are gone / deleted.
