You can tell by the engine displacement that someone didn't know what they were talking about.

Not sure I follow you.

Although it didn't register at the time, it's the first reference to the classic 451 stroker combo of the 440 crank in a 400 block I ever saw.

I stand corrected.

I noticed that several guys posted pics of the Aurora AFX slot cars. I had several of those sets too, including the Jackie Stewart Oval Eight shown earlier in this thread. This one below was my very first one. Christmas 1971. Came with the Daytona and the Z/28 as shown. My love of the winged cars started right then and there. Whichever chassis I had that was fastest at the time was what went under that orange body. :D

You really know where you stand when the lunch box you carried to school as a kid is on display in the Henry Ford Museum.
No picture unfortunately, but a few years back my wife and I were visiting the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. That year they had a themed display for '60's every day culture. We came across a display case containing kids metal lunch boxes and thermos'. And there it was, the "Fantastic Four" metal lunch box, just like I carried to early grade school.

But when was that toy manufactured in relation to the timeline for such a stroker kit?

I remember a stroker Duster in one of the hot rod magazines. It made so much power and the car was so light, they had to put a bunch of engine parts in the trunk to keep it on the dyno.

Had to modify the K member, so that predates 1973 or the guy probably would have swapped K members out
