So if it doesn't get any better than this I'm over joyed!! Looks like Trick flows claim to 600 HP is correct as my cam has less duration but more lift than their engine build. Looks like you can get good HP with out a lumpy cam or a stroker.

For everyone I'll post a parts list at the end of the last dyno session with numbers.

9.9:1 236/242 @ .050 & .640 net lift with 1.6 rockers 440 + .030
Haven't done anything but fiddle with the fuel mixture and a little bit of timing. This engine is going to run with a 6-bbl so we aren't wasting a bunch of time on these other combinations.
Looks like the power band is about perfect for me. I'm running a column shift so it will be left in drive. With the max wedge governor installed in the tranny it should shift around 58-5900 rpm. This thing will be a fun one to drive!
Nope its a solid roller. It would be like running a 232/236 @ .050 hydraulic roller.
Here are the results of a solid flat tappet cam 255/259 @ .050, .606/618 net lift. This is a 10.6:1 440, an Edelbrock RPM intake with Victor heads that flow a bit more than the 240 TrickFlow heads.
The 6bbl isn't ready to fire, I've got gasoline leaking everywhere. Got some parts on order to stop the leaks and make things easier to disassemble and tune.
Sorry Jim! I should of bought the Pro Maxx fuel line set up, I went back and forth on which one to get. I picked the wrong one I guess.
440Beep It's the 71 440+6 carbs I bought new from Jegs along with the intake ect. I had Jim port the intake because I had heard they could benefit from some port work. I added the Pro Maxx rear throttle plate with angled idle mixture screw. Also Quick Fuel metering plate with some extra emulsion circuits for more tuning. And lastly I add phenolic spacers to help with heat sink & vapor lock. Jim will have to share the mods after that. I'm guessing it'll be later in the week before Jim gets back to it. So be patient Jim will let us know the progress. Good things come to those that can wait.

68 Hemi GTS I hope it will run as good as your 69 RR.
My son Cody is 42 yrs old and can't tighten the inverted flare fittings on the fuel line enough to keep them from leaking. He has run from his house in Challis to the top of Hwy 93's Willow Creek Summit (25 miles). He won his age group in a 50km run through mountains. He will hike 7 miles into the mountains with a 60lb pack, load on 35lbs of elk antlers and hike back out the same day. He'll shuffle engine blocks around in the shop by himself.
Thank you for the suggestion, these things I already understand. One leak....then I'm lookin' hard for the problem. Seven leaks.....I'm goin' with sumpthin' else. Factory flares, my flares don't leak.
