1968 Charger in 1970 ..had it nine years it was stolen in 79 and they never found it or any part of it ..I took two days off of work and drove around for hours looking  ..wish I had the vin ...

first mopar was a 1964 dodge polara push button auto with poly 318. still have it my polara.jpg

Part II

I think I just sold the AM radio from that car.

Don't think I have anything else left.

I do have a bolt from my 86 Shelby Daytona on my recently acquired 67 wagon, and a seat nut from my 70 Super Bee.

I have the slapstick mechanism and console from my 73 Challenger waiting to go in something...

1st Mopar was a '66 Sport Fury, 383 auto, dark blue with black interior. Only memories are left of that one.
She complained of the counsel being too hard and got herself a pillow for it. The good old HS days!

1970 CUDA 440-6 FK7 Burnt Orange Auto ran 11.98-12.24 in 1975 traded it for a black 340 duster 4 speed/white interior in 1977.

I bought my first Mopar in 1970. It was a 69 GTX,440,4-speed,super track pak car. I traded it for a 69 396-375 Nova, which was much farter, bit I liked the GTX best, maybe because it had a bigger back seat. I am in the prosess of restoring another 69 GTX,to bring back my youth,

Right out of High School...Went to work at GM, but... bought a 59 Plymouth Fury Convertable. Painted 63 T Bird Metalic Dark Green, 383 Police Interceptor
Transplant. Friday Night would load her up with chicks and cruise Main St down to Reids Hot Dog Stand. Hang out with the other cruisers and listen to
"Can't Get No Satisfaction", "409", "Hot Rod Lincoln"' "DEUCE Coupe". Everyone called her the Bat Mobile
A MoPar in the GM parking lot really POed upper management (the same guys that witheld safety recalls and service bullitens for years)
The 59 was heavy with **** drum brakes, but tons of fun..... Uncle Sam said "I Want You" end of fun.

Just out of high school 1973, bought 1962 Plymouth 383 4speed, headers and 4.30 gears. I spent every paycheck on it. I remember I paid 300.00 for it and the first thing I did was put keystone classics on it with skinnier on front and L-60s on the rear. 347.00 my father thought I was nuts!

1952 Plymouth Cranbrook in 1972. Paid ten bucks for it, and drove it home!

I have the horn button and spring, that is all.

There are some pretty good memories out there !

still have mine, 68 GTX ......... 30 years this month ......... it's been apart 27 of those 30 years

My first Mopar (and only one) was purchased in January of 1972 a year after I graduated from high school. It is a 68 GTX - and yes I still that car today 44 years later. It was the first car I ever purchased. Still have the bill of sale for $1000. I've just finished restoring it over the last several years as I had it stored away for many years as I traveled the country and the world. I've since stroked the 440 to a 494 with 555 hp. It's had I six pack on it since shortly after I bought it, including the a12 hood and all. The car has always had a special place in my heart and I just never had it in me to sell even after all these years. Hopefully some day I can pass it on to someone in the family. I have no children - only nieces and nephews. Some interested in the car - but none that really deserve to own the X. I hope sometime in the future I can say some one does. I have close friends that deserve it more - but they are my age and won't be driving a car like any longer than I can. So maybe one of their sons or daughters will get it.

I figure i have have a good fifteen or so years - maybe longer to enjoy it on the road.

Is that a "real" Starsky and Hutch torino?

It's amazing how many people think my 73 Satellite is one of those, even though it does not have the RR stripe.

S&H was '76, two years after the 73/74 RR.

People.

no, just my recreation. This was my second car, I hadn't had my license for a year yet. It taught me not to buy someone else's hack job ever again. My recently passed Uncle taught me a lot because of that car. It wasn't that bad of a car, pretty solid body, great interior, but the PO had half assed swapped a four speed, and the wiring was a nightmare. If I hadn't discovered girls (one in particular) and had given this car it's proper due, things would have gone a lot better. There was a neighbor boy that called the Torino "Dukes Car"

Paid i think $1100.00 for it around 73-74 and had to borrow the money to buy it!
383 4spd car and drove it everyday as that is what we did back then.
I remember i had to call my Brother and ask him what it was.
Been hooked ever since!
And no,i do not still own it!

My first one (that I bought with my hard earned cash) was the 318 '68 Satellite in '79. It was complete but the engine was shot. Didn't mind the 7 hours of trying to start up the engine you know install new point & condensor, dizzy cap and wires. Replaced engine oil, try on three different single bbl and two bbl from various /6, using starter or bbq fluid.......... but as I was only 16 at the time, I couldn't chug down beer with my cousins. :angryfire:
